Use a Bedrock-specific design. Compare the basic module before expanding it and consult the same creator’s troubleshooting tutorial.

Start with the right tutorial

The selected visual design is silentwisperer’s Bedrock farm. It starts with a module that can be expanded. Do not combine the starter build with a materials list for its upgraded variant.

Understand the expandable design

The linked tutorial distinguishes a basic build from later expansions. Its materials list includes 20 beds and variants using 10 or 20 villagers and workstations. These are quantities for that design, not a complete statement of spawning rules; do not mix components from different stages.

Choose your stopping point before collecting materials. Separate the structural budget from inhabitants and collection. That prevents finishing an expanded platform while the lower section still belongs to another variant. Keep inspection access to the interior too.

Compare the build in a fixed order

Back up the world for testing and keep a picture of the starting layout. Work with one specific variant from the video.

  1. Count the beds, villagers and workstations for the chosen module.
  2. Compare workstation placement and access with the original build.
  3. Check the height and boundaries of the spawning platform.
  4. Watch where each golem exits and follow the route to storage.
  5. Record the result before making another change.

Match the check to the symptom

The creator’s troubleshooting video distinguishes no golems or only cats (6:58), golems underneath or around the farm (8:33), and golems far away (9:39). It is linked in the sources below.

Start from a position where you can see the platform and surrounding area. If golems appear but the chest stays empty, inspect transport and collection too.

Only cats, outside spawns or blocked collection

Only cats: record the villager count and chosen variant before adding more. Open the creator’s diagnostic video at 6:58 and compare the situation. Seeing cats is useful evidence, but does not establish that every condition of the iron-producing design has been met.

Golems outside: mark their spawning location before removing them. Record X, Y and Z for several cases and see whether they cluster underneath, beside the edge or far from the platform. That pattern helps you choose between the 8:33 and 9:39 chapters. Blocking one location without recording the next can hide the issue.

Golems inside, empty chest: follow one through the entire route. For a jam in a corner, inspect flow and obstructions there. If items accumulate afterwards, inspect storage. Altering villagers will not fix a blocked item outlet.

Expand after checking the module

Leave room for upgrades before decorating. Keep an inspection route to the villagers and collection system so you do not need to dismantle the exterior.

Run the basic farm for a fixed interval. Repeat that check after upgrading: same position, settings and duration. This makes it easier to distinguish an improvement from a brief observation.

Commissioning and maintenance checks

Before decorating, observe a complete sequence: spawning, movement, removal and items reaching the chest. Then empty a control chest and collect for 15 minutes from a fixed position. Record interruptions; a short batch cannot establish constant production.

Once it works, introduce improvements separately. Repeat the check after each expansion and after changing beds, workstations or nearby construction. If something breaks, compare against the last documented setup. Pictures and a plan turn troubleshooting into a specific comparison instead of rebuilding blindly.

Useful information when asking for help

Include the edition, exact version, tutorial link and pictures from above and beside the villagers. Explain whether it never produced iron or stopped after a change.

The seed map can help you look for villages, but it does not detect links inside your construction or diagnose a farm.

Once iron reaches storage, you can prepare a crafter to compact it into blocks.
