Your starting point

In the Overworld, choose Cherry grove in Nearby to search around your coordinates. Highlight the biome on the map, then explore the area in the game.

In this guide

One result is a sample, not a separate forest

Imagine three samples A, B and C at the same height: A and B fall inside one patch of cherry grove; C falls outside it. Nearby can list A and B as two results even though there is only one grove. This is a conceptual example, with no verified seed or coordinates.

How to interpret samples
  1. A: cherry grove → result
  2. B: the same grove → another result
  3. C: another biome → no cherry grove result

Check your version

Cherry groves arrived with Trails & Tales: Java 1.20 and Bedrock 1.20.0. Earlier versions do not generate this biome normally. It appears in mountainous surroundings, in settings similar to meadows.

Prepare your search

The game’s versions and the versions this website supports are different lists. Pick an exact version available in the selector; do not choose a newer version just to get a result for an older world.

This guide’s button prepares Cherry grove when your selected version supports it. Otherwise, the map explains the mismatch without replacing your seed or silently changing your version.

  1. Confirm your world’s seed, edition and version.
  2. In Nearby, choose Biome → Cherry grove. You can also type cerezal into the name filter.
  3. Search from your base or the map center, with a radius of up to 2,048 blocks.
  4. Open a result with View on map. Cherry grove keeps its color while other biomes are dimmed.

Why the Y level matters

Biome queries use a particular Y level. This view does not automatically calculate the surface of each mountain. If you are searching around higher terrain and the expected biome is missing, try a height close to the terrain you are exploring.

The search samples every 16 blocks. It can miss small areas and does not identify the nearest individual block exactly. Multiple results can also be points in the same cherry grove, rather than separate forests.

Before building there

Note the X/Z coordinates and explore nearby. A result’s Y is the map’s query height, not a safe arrival height or a measured terrain surface.

Bedrock also received the biome and cherry wood family in Trails & Tales. This guide works for both editions, but select yours to interpret the rest of the map correctly.

If no cherry grove appears

Try a larger radius, another origin or a different height. An empty result describes only the area and samples checked; it does not prove that the seed has no cherry groves.

If your world predates cherry groves, consider when the area you are visiting was generated. The map does not know your save’s history or distinguish its older regions from newer ones.
